Aleksandra’s first journey to Uzbekistan

My first journey to Uzbekistan — where the fabrics for my chapans are weaved — was in 2015. I was amazed by this country, its nature and most humble and friendly people. Uzbekistan is known for its very traditional ikat fabrics, which you can find and see everywhere across the country. The traditional ikat weaving technique has been passed down from one generation to the next for many centuries. Only a few days spent in Tashkent, I knew that I am going to weave the fabrics for the first ALEKSANDRAVIKTOR collection there.
