Laura Ikat Silk Cotton Coat
Deep ink-black and soft ecru on a dove-grey ground — large-scale swirls, rosettes and jagged borders that read almost like a graphic drawing. Reduced to a near-monochrome palette, the ikat feels architectural and calm, yet every motif carries the soft, feathered edges that only handweaving produces. Opened, it reveals a royal blue lining.
The fabric is handwoven by master artisans on traditional hand looms in Uzbekistan, using the centuries-old technique in which each thread is resist-dyed before weaving. The pattern is placed so that its bold bands frame the hem, sleeves and front — no two coats are ever identical. Cut and sewn in our atelier in Berlin.
